Documentation to assist with the setup and configuration of the HaloITSM platform

Organisation Basics

To setup your organisation, you must go to the configuration console and select the "Organisation" module:

You will see the option here to enable multi-tenancy, but to start with we'll just use a single organisation. Click 'Configure My Organisation' to access the details.

The first section of this is fairly self-explanatory and allows you the option to input your organisation's basic information:

This information can then be used when sending emails, or creating invoices for example. Below this, you have some further settings to consider:

These settings come into play when you use "Multi-Tenancy". Multi-tenancy allows you to have multiple organisations within one instance of Halo and as a consequence, multiple sets of departments.

These settings allow you to use different "Message Groups" (sets of email templates) per organisation and have different end-user portal's for each organisation. This allows you to diversify branding and style between each organisation.

The most important thing to remember is to ensure the reply address is accurate, as this is the address that all of your emails out of the system will be sent from when working from within the organisation in question.
