AnyDesk Integration

AnyDesk Configuration

This section details the configuration you must carry out in AnyDesk to make the Halo integration work.

Installation

In order for the AnyDesk integration to work, you must ensure that AnyDesk is installed locally on your machine. Once downloaded, run the .exe, and you will see an option to install AnyDesk.

Halo Configuration

This section details the configuration you must carry out in Halo to make the AnyDesk integration work.

General Configuration

The AnyDesk module can be enabled in Configuration > Integrations. As part of the configuration, the module will be enabled automatically if you create new asset and/or site fields.

To begin configuring the integration, click into the module, and you will see options to create new asset and site fields.

Clicking either of the options will create a new field with the label “AnyDesk”. Once the field has been created, the button will no longer be available.

Adding the Anydesk Button

To add this button to all assets navigate to Configuration > Asset Management > Asset Fields > Anydesk. When you click into this you will see the below screen.

To add this field to all assets click the button next to Edit saying 'Add to All Asset Types'.

Launching a Session

In order to launch a session for a site or an asset, you need to store the AnyDesk ID against the site or asset. Using site as an example, if you open any site on the details tab, under additional details you will now see your AnyDesk field. Place the 9-digit code corresponding to the site in this field, and press save.

Now that you have data saved in this field, at the top of the site page, you will see an AnyDesk button. Pressing this button will open the AnyDesk application, and providing the ID you have entered into the field is correct, a session will automatically be started using that ID.
