| Action | Type | Description |
| Add to all Asset Types | Yes/ No | This is an action button found on asset fields that are already created. This will add the field to all Asset Types. |
| Add to selected Asset Types | Yes/ No | This is an action button found on asset fields that are already created. This will add the field to chosen Asset Types. |
Asset Field Creation Variables
| Field | Type | Description |
| Field Label | Free Text | Determines the name of the asset field. |
| Type of Field | Single Select | Choose from various different fields: Text (a singular line text box), Memo ( A larger text box than "Text"), IP Address, Hyperlink, single selection (Add values in the table which are single select when using the asset field), multiple selection (Add values in the table which can have multiple selected from when using the asset field), checkbox(can be checked on or off). When using the single select type, you can specify a different colour for each single select option, this is chosen by editing the single select fields after the initial creation and saving of the asset field. This will colour that value when shown as a column in a table i.e. when you add this field to the asset list column profile. |
| System Use | Single Select | The System Use selected here will determine how this Asset Field behaves with certain other functionalities of the system. One, for example, will enable the field to be used alongside the AnyDesk integration. System use of parent-child link. When updating this field the asset will be linked to the asset of the specified type which also contains the new data. |
| Asset Type of parent to match against | Single Select | The type chosen here will determine how the Parent-Child Link recognises which two Assets this field is linking together. (Only available when "Parent-Child Link" is selected in the system use field) |
| Mandatory | Checkbox | Decides whether the asset field is mandatory or not. |
