Budgets
| Field | Type | Description |
| Budget Type Name | Free Text | Determines the Budget Type name, returned throughout the UI |
| Default Rate (hrs) | Decimal | Determines the (internal) hourly rate to use for a Budget of this type. Used as a means of calculating Project costs. NB: Set to 0 to disable |
| Charge Rate | Single Select | Only applicable if "Use Charge Rates instead of Budget Types" is set in Configuration > Billing > General Settings > *Charge Type Settings Dropdown*. NB: The Budgets Module must be enabled for the billing setting to show. When applied, the charge rates will be used instead of the budget type, and there will be a field shown on the budget type where you can attach a charge rate to it. You also don't have to set a budget type on tasks when this setting is applied. If a charge rate is added to an action on a task, the corresponding budget time will be updated to match the time taken for that charge rate, if it is associated to the budget type. |
